Nathan Mattimoe was born and still lives in Toledo, Oh. He grew up with a multitude of musical influences. His Grandparents exposed him to Jazz, Irish Drinking Songs, Neil Diamond, and Sinatra. His parents exposed him to Motown, Charlie Parker, Taj Mahal, Jimi Hendrix, George Jones, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, King Crimson, and Miles Davis, just to name a small few. Diversity in itself became an influence. Soulful music was just that – soulful. Be it George Benson or George Jones - Nathan realized the common vibe that all good music shares – soul. Through high school and until 2002 Nathan wrote and performed music with Marc Zoldowski under the guise Cyanosphere. They persevered through a a number of drummers, a few singers, and eventually a lack of motivation, and finally called it quits. It was shortly after that time Nathan discovered what underground dance culture was all about.

He soon met Alan Eliazar who showed him the ropes with throwing parties and doing promotions and they formed the ZEROTHREEZERO Collective. Alan also exposed him to Deep House and Brazilian forms of music that became Nathan's focus at the time. They started a weekly at The Malibu Lounge in Toledo while also throwing parties at Diva, and The 20 North Gallery. They primarily focused on events that incorporated local DJ's, but also played other events with such artists as Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Binky Griptite, NOMO, Titonton Duvante, and Mike Huckaby. Nathan parted ways with Alan in 2005. He continued to play numerous art galleries, parties, and weeklies around Toledo. Today he is a resident DJ at Pub St. George in Toledo where he plays three nights a week for hundreds of people every weekend. He partnered with J. Alexander in April of '06 to run and promote “Seven Sundays” at Pub St. George which started as strictly a house night, but has moved to include Techno and Drum and Bass. They have booked and shared the stage with Delano Smith, Number 9, John Arnold and Jeremy Ellis, Aaron Carl, Soulsystem, Mike Huckaby, Alexander East and more. Nathan has played every style – from Hip-Hop to Broken Beat, to Dub, but primarily focuses on deep Detroit and Chicago styled House and Techno, and Down-Tempo from around the world. Nathan also produces House and Down-Tempo under the guise “D Paul” and plans on putting out his first E.P. soon.
